Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer II to design and own analytical solutions turning large datasets into actionable insights. You will build data models, ETL pipelines, dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools across engineering, science, product, and business teams.

Lead mid-to-large BI work from loosely defined problems, using SQL, data lineage, and visualization skills to influence product and business decisions. Strong collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with data platforms.
• 1+ years of SQL, ETL, or data warehousing experience.
• 1+ years of processing large, multi-source datasets and statistics.
• 1+ years of automated reporting and data visualization experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain BI solutions including data models, ETL workflows, dashboards and reports.
• Collaborate with partners to translate ambiguous problems into concrete deliverables.
• Apply SQL and data engineering practices to scale data pipelines and optimize queries.
• Create visualizations and self-service reporting tools for quick decision making.
• Mentor colleagues on BI architecture and data lineage; contribute to design discussions.
