Job summary

Amazon’s Long-Term Planning & Forecasting (LTPF) team seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to support Topline, Inventory, and Capacity planning with analytics, reporting, and data visualization. The role emphasizes stakeholder engagement, project leadership, and data-driven decision making.

The candidate will build analytical tools, manage multi‑TB datasets, and collaborate across teams to drive improvements in forecast accuracy and inventory optimization. EA benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SQL experience.
• 5+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources.
• 5+ years of developing automated reporting experience.
• 5+ years of performing statistical analysis experience.
• Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi- TB) data sets.
• Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.

Responsibilities

• Develop reports and data access points that answer key questions about forecast performance, inventory positioning, and capacity planning.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external consumers of LTPF forecasts to ensure timely data in the right context.
• Lead analytics projects including forecasting, business monitoring, and data visualization.
• Collaborate with science and engineering teams to resolve forecast and planning questions.
