Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation seeks a Senior BI Engineer to design and develop data integrations, delivering enterprise BI data marts and BI semantic layers. The role requires expertise with SQL, Hadoop stack, Teradata, and Azure cloud services to build end-to-end data pipelines.

As part of the Enterprise Business Analytics & BI team, you will manage multiple projects, collaborate with the data architecture group, and translate business needs into scalable data products that enable insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree or 6 years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with SQL.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in Data and Analytics tools and solutions.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence Architecture and technologies.
• Experience with data architecture teams to develop or manage a universal semantic model.
• Knowledge of Hadoop stack: HDFS, Hive, HQL, Spark, Scala, PySpark/Python, Sqoop.
• Knowledge of Teradata BTEQ, SQL, etc.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Analytics Services: Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL, etc.
• Knowledge of DevOps / CI/CD processes and tools.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like Control-M, Zena, etc.
• Be an avid learner with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integrations to deliver Enterprise BI Data Marts and BI semantic layers.
• Manage multiple projects within the Enterprise Business Analytics & BI team.
• Support and collaborate with the DAS organization to improve data processes and reporting/analytical services.
• Work with business stakeholders to design data products that enable insights.
