Job summary

HCSC is seeking a Senior BI Engineer to design and develop end-to-end data integration pipelines, delivering Enterprise BI Data Marts and semantic data layers. You will work with SQL-based analytics, Hadoop, Teradata, and Azure cloud services, coordinating multiple projects within the DAS organization.

The role requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder collaboration, and experience with BI architectures. A proactive, fast learner who can work independently or in a team is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience OR Masters degree or 6 years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with SQL.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in Data and Analytics tools and solutions.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence Architecture and technologies.
• Experience with a data architecture team to develop a universal semantic model.
• Ability to design data products to enable insights.
• Knowledge of Hadoop stack: HDFS, Hive, HQL, Spark, PySpark, Python, Sqoop.
• Knowledge of Teradata BTEQ and SQL.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Analytics: Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL.
• Knowledge of DevOps / CI/CD processes.
• Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools: Control-M, Zena.
• Be an avid learner and promote innovative insights.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary: An individual with the ability to design and develop data Integrations to deliver Enterprise BI Data Marts and BI Semantic Data layer(s). This role required strong technical skills in platforms such as RDMBS, MPP Platforms (Teradata), Hadoop Datalake and Azure cloud with ability to design and develop end to end data integration pipelines. As an Sr BI Engineer in the Enterprise Business Analytics & Business Intelligence team, this role is expected to manage multiple projects within the team and support others within the DAS organization. Many of these projects/initiatives are part of the HCSC & DAS initiatives to improve data processes, technology infrastructure and reporting/analytical services.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience OR Masters Degree or 6 years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms
• Minimum 1 years of experience working with SQL Experience.
• Minimum 1 years of experience working in Data and Analytics tools and solutions.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence Architecture and technologies.
• Experience working with a data architecture team to develop/manage a universal semantic model
• Ability to work with business stakeholders to design, develop data products solution to enable insights.
• Knowledge and understanding of Hadoop tech stack like HDFS, Hive, HQL, Spark, Scala, Pyspark/python, Sqoop.
• Knowledge and understanding of MPP platforms like Teradata BTEQ, SQL etc
• Knowledge and understanding of Azure Cloud Analytics Services Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL etc.
• Knowledge of DevOps / continuous deployment / integration process and tools.
• Knowledge of working with Enterprise grade scheduling tools like control M, Zena etc
• Be an avid learner, gain a solid understanding of available data and promote innovative insights.
• Strong analytical skills Written, communications and presentation skills, ability to source interpret and present analytics in a thoughtful and meaningful manner
• Proactive self-starter, quick-learner, flexible team-player, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task, maintain strong attention to detail, and prioritize work within tight deadlines.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Healthcare sector experience preferred
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources
• Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur

Compensation: $70,600.00 - $149,600.00
