Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation seeks a Senior BI Engineer to design and develop data integrations, delivering enterprise BI data marts and BI semantic layers. The role requires expertise with SQL, Hadoop stack, Teradata, and Azure cloud services to build end-to-end data pipelines.

As part of the Enterprise Business Analytics & BI team, you will manage multiple projects, collaborate with the data architecture group, and translate business needs into scalable data products that enable insights

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree or 6 years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with SQL.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in Data and Analytics tools and solutions.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence Architecture and technologies.
• Experience with data architecture teams to develop or manage a universal semantic model.
• Knowledge of Hadoop stack: HDFS, Hive, HQL, Spark, Scala, PySpark/Python, Sqoop.
• Knowledge of Teradata BTEQ, SQL, etc.
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud Analytics Services: Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL, etc.
• Knowledge of DevOps / CI/CD processes and tools.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools like Control-M, Zena, etc.
• Be an avid learner with strong analytical skills.

Job Summary Job Summary: An individual with the ability to design and develop data Integrations to deliver Enterprise BI Data Marts and BI Semantic Data layer(s). This role required strong technical skills in platforms such as RDMBS, MPP Platforms (Teradata), Hadoop Datalake and Azure cloud with ability to design and develop end to end data integration pipelines. As an Sr BI Engineer in the Enterprise Business Analytics & Business Intelligence team, this role is expected to manage multiple projects within the team and support others within the DAS organization. Many of these projects/initiatives are part of the HCSC & DAS initiatives to improve data processes, technology infrastructure and reporting/analytical services.

Required Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience OR Masters Degree or 6 years of equivalent experience with data integration platforms Minimum 1 years of experience working with SQL Experience. Knowledge and understanding of MPP platforms like Teradata BTEQ, SQL etc Knowledge and understanding of Azure Cloud Analytics Services Synapse, ADLS, ADF, Azure SQL etc. Knowledge of DevOps / continuous deployment / integration process and tools. Knowledge of working with Enterprise grade scheduling tools like control M, Zena etc Be an avid learner, gain a solid understanding of available data and promote innovative insights. Strong analytical skills Written, communications and presentation skills, ability to source interpret and present analytics in a thoughtful and meaningful manner Proactive self-starter, quick-learner, flexible team-player, ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to multi-task, maintain strong attention to detail, and prioritize work within tight deadlines.

Preferred Job Qualifications: Healthcare sector experience preferred Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability. Strong knowledge of SQL, analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur.

Base Pay Range $70,600.00 - $149,600.00 Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
