Job summary

Similarweb Ltd. seeks an experienced Senior BI Engineer to own data modeling and build the Source of Truth powering strategic decisions. You will ship production SQL, dbt models, and AI-enabled tooling in a CI/CD workflow, collaborating across product, marketing, and analytics teams in a hybrid setting in Givatayim.

The role emphasizes data integrity, scalable models, and partnership with AI/Data Service specialists to deliver AI-ready data products for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an analytics/technical role (Analytics Engineer, BI Engineer, BI Developer or Data Engineer).
• Expert-level SQL skills; write complex queries, optimize performance, debug legacy code.
• dbt experience with Jinja templating, incremental models, and package management.
• Experience with data warehousing (Redshift/Snowflake) and modeling methodologies.
• Understanding SaaS metrics (ARR, funnels, activation) and how data logic impacts product growth.
• CI/CD for data projects: PR reviews, automated tests, deployments of dbt projects.
• AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) usage to speed modeling and code reviews.
• Python for data orchestration or custom transformations.
• Orchestration tools: Airflow, Dagster, Prefect.
• Data quality, observability, data contracts, monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Define the Source of Truth by transforming raw data into clean, structured tables.
• Translate strategy into precise SQL definitions and automated datasets.
• Maintain data integrity across product and business reports.
• Enable AI/Data Service initiatives with structured data foundations.
• Build and maintain production-grade data models using dbt.
• Operate with CI/CD discipline: PRs, tests, deployments of dbt projects.
• Use AI coding assistants to speed modeling, testing, and documentation.
• Create well-documented models with a consistent metrics layer.
• Contribute to Agentic solutions for 24x7 operations.
