Job Title: Senior BI Developer

Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior BI Developer with deep expertise in both Tableau and Power BI to join our dynamic Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development of impactful dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide critical business insights. You will leverage your proficiency in both leading BI platforms to cater to diverse user needs and contribute to the evolution of our BI strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of interactive dashboards and reports using both Tableau and Power BI.
• Choose the optimal visualization tool based on project requirements, data sources, and user preferences.
• Develop complex calculations, parameters, and interactive elements within both platforms.
• Optimize dashboard and report performance for speed and efficiency.
• Implement data security and access control measures within both Tableau Server/Online and Power BI Service.
• Connect to various data sources and import data into Tableau and Power BI.
• Design and implement efficient data models within both platforms (Tableau Data Extracts, Power BI Datasets).
• Understand and implement best practices for data modeling and performance in both environments.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization and reporting needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for BI solutions.
• Partner with data engineers and data analysts to ensure data quality and availability for BI development.
• Develop and maintain the semantic layer to provide a consistent and user-friendly data abstraction for end-users.
• Develop compelling data narratives and presentations that effectively communicate key insights and trends using visualizations from both tools.
• Apply advanced data visualization principles to create impactful and actionable dashboards.
• Proactively identify opportunities to leverage BI for business improvement.
