Job summary

The Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support its Mainframe Reports and Extract initiative. You will analyze business requirements, document data flows, and support the development and delivery of reporting solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years in business analysis, strong experience with Snowflake and Power BI, and proficiency in UAT, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.
• Experience in reporting development and data publishing.
• Experience with UAT, training, and implementation activities.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
• 2+ years with Snowflake and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to design technical solutions.
• Analyze data, investigate data errors, and perform root cause analysis.
• Document data flows, reporting requirements, business processes, and system dependencies.
• Support report development, validation, and delivery.
• Work with Snowflake and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
• Support publishing data to portals or websites as required.
• Develop, execute, and validate user acceptance testing plans and test scenarios.
• Guide business users through UAT, training, and implementation activities.
• Maintain high-quality project documentation and deliverables.
• Work independently with limited supervision and provide guidance to other team members when needed.
