Job summary
The Railroad Commission of Texas seeks a senior Business Analyst to support the Mainframe Reports and Extract initiative. You will analyze requirements, document data processes, and help design technical solutions.
Work will involve data analysis, root cause analysis of data errors, report development with Power BI and Snowflake, and user acceptance testing, training, and deployment activities.
Qualifications
- 8 years required; strong interpersonal, collaborative, analytical, and written/verbal communication in English.
- 8 years required; experience in gathering requirements and creating reports.
- 8 years required; facilitating creation and analysis of business requirements and designing technical solutions.
- 5 years required; participating in UAT, training and implementation activities.
- 2 years required; experience with Snowflake and Power BI.
- 2 years preferred; experience in Oil and Gas industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform senior-level business analysis for implementing complex hardware/software projects for data-related reports.
- Gather, develop, and document requirements; review and optimize business processes.
- Create and validate user acceptance testing; assist training and deployment activities.
- Develop data reporting, data flows, and data posting, ensuring quality and adherence to processes.
