Summit Utilities, Inc. seeks a Senior BI Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of the company’s analytics architecture.

You will be the technical authority for Power BI, data modeling, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric, shaping standards and mentoring BI developers. You will partner with Data Engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable analytics solutions that support operational, financial, and executive decision-making, guiding the growth of our

Qualifications

10+ years in BI/analytics engineering, enterprise reporting, or data warehousing.
6+ years Power BI development with semantic modeling, datasets, and DAX.
3+ years in lead/architect-level role with technical standards responsibilities.
Experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale analytics.
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services, or comparable cloud analytics.
Mentoring teams and establishing development standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, governance, and optimization of Summit's enterprise analytical architecture, including Power BI semantic models and reporting standards.
Establish best practices for data modeling, security, performance, deployment, and lifecycle management across BI.
Architect scalable analytics solutions for operational, financial, and executive reporting.
Partner with Data Engineering to define data model requirements and align enterprise architecture with BI solutions.
Design and optimize dataflows, semantic models, DAX measures, and refresh processes for performance and reliability.
Define and maintain role-based security across reporting environments.
Monitor Microsoft Fabric usage, capacity, and BI ecosystem performance.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code review for BI developers; promote standards.
Develop architecture documentation, data definitions, and governance standards.
Advise leadership on BI strategy and future-state architecture.
