Job summary

Summit Utilities is seeking a Senior BI Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of the enterprise analytics architecture. You will be the technical authority for Power BI, semantic modeling, data architecture, and BI development standards.

You will mentor BI developers, drive platform performance, and collaborate with Data Engineering to translate business needs into scalable data models and DIM routines. A strong background in Fabric, SQL, and enterprise security is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
10+ years in Business Intelligence, analytics engineering, enterprise reporting, or data warehousing.
6+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience, including semantic modeling, dataset design, and advanced DAX.
3+ years in a lead/architect-level role with responsibility for technical standards and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, governance, and optimization of Summit's enterprise analytical architecture, including Power BI semantic models, datasets, and reporting standards.
Define and maintain role-based security and access controls across reporting environments.
Monitor and optimize Microsoft Fabric platform usage, capacity, and BI ecosystem performance.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for BI developers and establish development standards.
