Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Senior BI Developer to design, develop, and support analytics across Epic Analytics, Power BI, and Workday reporting. You will lead architecture decisions, build scalable models, and drive enterprise analytics initiatives across clinical, operational, and financial domains.

As a senior contributor, you will mentor team members, define standards, and collaborate with data engineers and product owners to advance reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in healthcare environment.
• 6+ years SQL experience in a relational database; experience with BI tools such as Epic Reporting, Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Workday Report Writer.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design discussions and set coding standards for BI solutions within a domain.
• Drive initiatives to optimize data models for scalability and sustainability; validate recommendations with engineering teams.
• Serve as a technical authority for troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Establish BI standards and best practices.
• Partner with BI Managers, Data Engineering, and Product Owners to implement strategies for system upgrades, platform enhancements, and process improvements.
