Job summary

University of Virginia External Relations seeks an Associate Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership and frontline fundraisers. You will design and govern the data warehouse, ETL, and reporting infrastructure while mentoring colleagues in BI.

The role combines hands-on data work (Snowflake/ETL, dashboards) with stakeholder engagement and strategic guidance on analytics to advance fundraising performance, within a hybrid work

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (data science, business analytics, information systems, statistics, or related discipline).
• A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in data science and/or business intelligence.
• Non-profit or higher-education advancement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual BI projects and set technical direction while maintaining quality standards.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to BI teams and present training across the organization.
• Collaborate with university partners on data projects, practices, and governance.
