Job summary

The University of Virginia is seeking an Associate Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics to translate complex data streams into actionable insight for Advancement leadership and staff. The role combines hands-on data warehousing, ETL design, dashboard creation, and stakeholder engagement without direct reports.

Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in a relevant field and at least five years of BI/data science experience, with strong SQL, Tableau, Snowflake, and Salesforce skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years in data science or BI.
Non-profit or higher education advancement experience preferred.
Strong analytics, data visualization, and governance skills.

Responsibilities

Translate complex data into actionable insight for leadership and frontline staff.
Design, build, and maintain data warehouse and reporting infrastructure (Snowflake).
Develop ETL processes, dashboards, and reports using SQL, Tableau, and BI tools.
Govern data access, security, and governance; mentor BI teammates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to drive fundraising performance.
