Job summary

The Farmer’s Dog, Inc. is seeking a Senior BI Analyst to join the Data group in NYC.

You will deliver reporting and analytics solutions to answer critical business questions, transform complex data into clear insights, and build dashboards and data visualization surfaces for decision-making across the organization. You will surface data products as dashboards, reports, and data stories, reporting to the Director, Data and AI.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI, analytics, reporting, or related data-focused role.
• Advanced SQL skills with reporting and analytics development.
• Proficient in dashboards and data visualizations (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc).
• Experience with relational databases and data modeling concepts.
• Ability to distill complex data for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports for technical and non-technical audiences to enable data-driven decisions.
• Own the evaluations for reporting via AI surfaces.
• Validate data sources, transformation logic, join conditions, calculations, and business rules.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Translate insights into practical business recommendations and communicate uncertainties clearly.
• Clarify stakeholder needs and surface assumptions to keep priorities aligned.
• Improve analytics processes and reporting scalability; automate recurring analyses and visuals.
• Investigate opportunities to leverage AI to optimize work and processes.
• Present findings to diverse audiences and drive data-driven decisions.
• Support analytics infrastructure and self-service data capabilities.
