Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
• Experience with operating automated equipment preferred.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and hand tools.
• Knowledge of SRM manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Flexible schedule with possible overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Beveling machine set-up during size changeovers.
• Ensure bevels conform to quality requirements on work orders.
• Prevent pipes with inside scarf from moving to next operation.
• Communicate product details and unfinished duties during operator changes.
• Read work orders to determine production specifications.
• Serve as back-up for Hydrotester / Pre-Visual Check Operator when needed.
• Maintain machinery by observing operations and correcting malfunctions.
• Clean and service equipment during maintenance downtime.
• Notify Supervisor/Engineer as necessary.
• Collaborate with station operators on quality goals.
• Reject non-conforming products and readjust equipment.
• Follow PPE policies and safety rules and the 5S procedure.
• Report material/equipment problems to Supervisor/Engineer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
