Job summary

Oshkosh Defense, a leading provider of defense mobility solutions, seeks a Senior Calibration Engineer for xEV powertrain and vehicle motion controls. You will drive calibration development, validation, and production release across propulsion, chassis, braking, and ADAS to deliver a cohesive vehicle control strategy.

You will lead cross-functional teams with Systems Engineering, Software, and Suppliers, while analyzing large datasets to optimize drivability, efficiency, and energy management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience developing embedded automotive software and calibrations
• Experience calibrating production electric or hybrid powertrain systems
• Strong understanding of propulsion, dynamics, braking, and vehicle motion controls
• Experience with ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, or equivalent
• Experience with CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, UDS, and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Lead development, integration, validation, and production release of propulsion, chassis, braking, ADAS calibrations
• Define calibration requirements, acceptance criteria, and performance metrics for drivability and efficiency
• Coordinate cross-functional calibration activities with Systems Engineering, Software, and Suppliers
• Analyze large vehicle data sets to optimize torque, drive feel, energy management, and stability
• Develop calibration documentation, release plans, and change management
• Support CI/CD processes for calibration and software releases
