Jobgether is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Bet Engine, based in the United States. You will design and scale critical systems powering sportsbook wagering, casino transactions, financial records, and regulatory operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with production systems at scale and performance analysis.
• Experience restoring performance regressions in high-throughput services.
• On-call rotations and end-to-end release ownership.
• Strong focus on clean architecture and maintainable code.
• Experience with modern web frameworks and API development.
• 2+ years designing GraphQL schemas for multi-client apps.
• Experience with multi-client platforms and client-specific configuration.
• Relational databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL with performance tradeoffs.
• Kubernetes experience in containerized environments.
• Familiar with testing frameworks and background job processing.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize GraphQL APIs, low-latency services, and SQL queries for wagering, accounting, and risk management.
• Own complex technical problems from investigation to resolution with leadership presentation.
• Deliver end-to-end features in a collaborative Agile/Scrum setting.
• Identify bottlenecks and reliability risks to improve performance and resilience.
• Set up monitoring and alerting (e.g., Datadog) for owned systems.
• Mentor engineers through guidance and code reviews.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-quality products and cost-efficiency initiatives.
• Bridge legacy and modern systems via data migrations and integrations.
• Maintain software correctness, reliability, and operational readiness in production.
• Participate in on-call rotations and manage release cycles.
