Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with backend and distributed systems.
• Ability to set technical direction across multiple teams or domains.
• Outstanding system design and architectural judgment for high-scale environments.
• Experience building secure, reliable production systems.
• Proven track record leading large cross-cutting technical initiatives.
• Excellent communicator influencing technical and executive levels.
• Willingness to travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for a scalable, fault-tolerant Betting and Gaming platform.
• Lead architecture for cross-cutting systems ensuring scalability, resilience, security, and reuse.
• Partner with engineering, product, and platform leaders to shape priorities and trade-offs.
• Drive design and execution of complex, multi-team initiatives with regulatory considerations.
• Establish engineering standards, design principles, and review practices.
• Identify and resolve technical risks, bottlenecks, and architectural contention.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence decisions across the organization
