Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson is pursuing a BESS Installation & Commissioning Engineer to join a global leader in battery energy storage solutions. The role will be based in Jacksonville, Florida, with regional responsibilities across the Americas.

You will lead deployment, installation, and commissioning of large-scale BESS projects, developing I&C processes and coordinating field teams, suppliers, and cross-functional groups to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
10+ years of engineering experience with installation and commissioning projects in power/energy.
Proven experience leading and managing technical teams and field personnel.
Experience with BESS and related technologies.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate field teams, technicians, and subcontractors for BESS installation and commissioning.
Develop project commissioning plans for new BESS projects across the Americas.
Develop and maintain standardized I&C procedures, work instructions, training materials, and quality and safety requirements.
Select, train, and qualify subcontractors in partnership with Sourcing.
Provide field feedback to Quality and Engineering to identify trends and drive improvement.
Provide technical support to field personnel as the senior I&C technical lead.
