Job summary

OneEnergy Inc in Seattle, Washington seeks a Senior Manager of BESS Engineering to lead the battery energy storage engineering function across development, preconstruction, finance, and engineering teams.

You will define design standards, lead DG and utility-scale BESS plant design, manage CAPEX methodologies, and coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders while ensuring NFPA 855, NEC 706, NESC, and UL 9540/UL 9540A compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field; PE license or path to licensure.
• 6+ years in professional engineering, construction, or land development with substantial BESS focus.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple DG and/or utility-scale BESS projects through full construction and commissioning cycles.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain BESS design standards, templates, and workflows and keep them current with PV standards.
• Lead DG and utility-scale BESS plant design; review high-voltage substation and BESS drawing packages.
• Lead design and modeling discussions; own BESS CAPEX methodology and equipment sizing/quotes.
