Job summary

NFP, an Aon company, is a leading advisor in risk, wealth, and retirement solutions. The Senior Consultant role focuses on building and nurturing client relationships, evaluating benefit plans, and acting as the primary contact for large-scale accounts.

Leadership responsibilities may include mentoring junior staff. The position requires extensive knowledge of health and welfare benefits, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to manage complex projects with regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred; 8+ years health and welfare consulting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates terms, conditions, coverage, and pricing with carriers and wholesalers.
• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with clients; act as SME on Health & Welfare benefits.
• Maintain project plans and delegate work to junior team members to ensure timely delivery.
• Build strong relationships with carriers, clients, and vendors; keep clients updated on industry trends and regulatory issues.
• Review RFPs and insurance analyses; negotiate with carriers and oversee implementations of new business.
• Explain legislative guidelines (COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, Section 125, Health Care Reform) to clients.
