Job summary

Alpha Executive Search seeks a Sr. Benefits Manager specializing in LOA, disability, and workers’ compensation to lead multi-state programs and vendor relationships. You will own leave programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive process improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in a leadership capacity, strong expertise in FMLA/ADA, and experience with TPAs. 4 days in office with a flexible fifth day enables a hybrid work model across multiple states.

Qualifications

• 5+ years at the Manager/Sr. Manager level with leadership experience.
• SME-level expertise in LOA, WC, disability, absenteeism, and multi-state regulatory compliance (CA preferred).
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state/local leave laws, and return-to-work practices.
• Experience leading teams and managing third-party vendors/TPAs.

Responsibilities

• Lead LOA, WC, disability, and absence programs and manage vendors/TPAs.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex LOA and regulatory issues across multiple states.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve processes, and strengthen the employee experience.
