Job summary

Pembroke Pines, Florida-based Lockton Companies is seeking an Account Manager to be the primary service contact for an assigned book of business and to develop a strong working relationship with clients and carriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or equivalent insurance experience.
• At least 3 years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically in employee benefits.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated presentation skills and communication.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with vendors.
• Knowledge of financial arrangements and products for clients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary service contact for an assigned book of business and develop strong client/carrier relationships.
• Lead and implement new client launches including timelines and communications with carriers and employees.
• Deliver routine servicing, schedule development, reporting, and vendor coordination as needed.
• Attend client meetings solo or with senior staff per schedule and contribute to strategy.
• Perform marketing activities and support client engagement initiatives.
• Review client documents and agreements, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Explain new benefit offerings and communication strategies to clients.
• Develop prospective client proposals and build opportunities.
