Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Lehighton seeks a Patient Care Manager for the Adult and Older Adult Behavioral Health Units to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

The role oversees daily department functioning, budgeting, staff performance, and collaboration with medical leadership, with emphasis on regulatory compliance and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• RN license with current Pennsylvania licensure or endorsement
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred; BSN required within 5 years of hire/promotion
• Enrollment in BSN program required upon hire or promotion; Master's degree preferred
• 3+ years of clinical leadership experience; strong interpersonal skills
• Sound knowledge of human resources and financial resource management
• Current BLS certification; basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour responsibility for planning, organizing and supervising patient care
• Develops and evaluates short- and long-range performance improvement goals
• Develops capital and operational budgets with Finance and leadership
• Selects, motivates and retains staff; initiates recognition plans
• Ensures staffing levels meet patient care needs while controlling costs
• Maintains departmental records for regulatory purposes
• Facilitates unit-based councils and leads performance improvement projects
