Job summary

Centerpoint Health - Paris is seeking a Senior Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) for the Adolescent Behavioral Health unit. This full-time role supports patients under RN supervision, monitors safety, assists with daily living activities, and helps implement treatment plans in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Nursing Assistant Certificate (SRNA/CNA) preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of an RN, assists in ensuring optimal patient care.
• Observe patients, document behaviors, and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist patients with hygiene, meals, routines, and basic care needs.
• Follow care plans developed by clinicians and support therapies as directed.
• De-escalate crises and respond to behavioral/emotional situations.
• Record patient progress and communicate updates to the care team.
