Job summary

CenterPoint Health - Paris is seeking a Senior Behavioral Health Technician to join the Adolescent Behavioral Health unit. The role supports patient care under the supervision of an RN, monitors behavior, and assists with daily living activities in a structured, therapeutic setting.

You will work 3 x 12-hour shifts in a full-time, daytime schedule, contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on stabilization, safety, and growth for teens in our care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; CNA/SRNA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care certification required within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assist in ensuring optimal patient care.
• Monitor patients, document behaviors, and maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with hygiene, meals, routines, and basic care needs.
• Follow clinicians' care plans and support therapeutic activities.
• De-escalate crises and respond to behavioral or emotional events.
• Document progress and communicate with nurses, therapists, and care team.

How you'll contribute

ABehavioral Health Technicianwho excels in this role:

• Under the supervision of an RN, assists in assuring optimal patient care.


• Patient Monitoring & Safety: Observe patients closely, document behaviors, and ensure a safe, secure environment.


• Support Daily Living Activities: Assist patients with hygiene, meals, routines, and basic care needs.


• Implement Treatment Plans: Follow care plans developed by clinicians, including leading or supporting therapeutic activities.


• Crisis Intervention: De-escalate situations and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional crises.


• Documentation & Communication: Record patient progress and communicate updates to nurses, therapists, and the care team.
