Job summary

Hibiscus Children's Center in Jensen Beach, FL is seeking a Lead Behavioral Health Tech to supervise shelter youth care staff on a shift, utilizing the Sanctuary Model trauma-informed approach. You will manage staff-to-client ratios, assign duties, coordinate admissions and transportation, ensure nursing directives are followed, document incidents, and support volunteers.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field, 2+ years supervisory experience with at-risk youth, CPR/First

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred.
• Two years supervisory experience required.
• Minimum two years experience with at risk children/teens.
• At least 23 years of age.
• Current certification in CPR, First Aid and TCI.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various temperature.
• Must pass level 2 background clearance and drug test.
• Ability to work flexible schedule and shifts as necessary.
• Complete 40 hours of training annually; Sanctuary Model Training and annual refreshers.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of the Behavioral Health Technicians with on-site guidance and corrections.
• Determine staff to client ratio and assign client groups to Technicians.
• Assign duties to Technicians and ensure completion.
• Review and update the daily logbook with pertinent client information.
• Coordinate transportation and admissions as needed; review shift activity.
• Ensure nursing directives are followed and communicate with administration.
• Provide direction to volunteers and conduct shift change meetings.
• Assist in preparing staffing schedules; dispense meds when nurse is unavailable.
• Attend agency meetings and participate in treatment plans; assist in preparing meals.
