Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Behavioral Health Specialist V at Abilene State Supported Living Center to deliver comprehensive behavior support, assessments, and plan development for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. You will work under supervision of a licensed BCBA, collaborating with unit teams to ensure effective interventions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field.
• At least six months experience providing services to persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Able to pass background checks and comply with agency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavior support plans.
• Implement and evaluate behavior support plans and skills acquisition plans.
• Train staff in behavior support plan implementation and ABA concepts.
• Maintain documentation and progress reports; participate in quality assurance activities.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team and provide supervision as needed.
