Job summary

Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a Social Worker (Senior Behavioral Health Specialist) to provide psychosocial assessments, therapy, and consultation within an interdisciplinary team in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on improving psychosocial functioning and delivering integrated care.

The position requires a Master’s in human services with licensure (LAPC/LMSW/LPC/LMFT/LCSW) and at least five years of mental health/substance abuse experience, with bilingual Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in human services or related field with LAPC, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW licensure.
• At least five years of experience in mental health/substance abuse recovery services.
• Proficiency in psychosocial assessments and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans.
• Provide counseling, therapy, and education to patients.
• Execute involuntary commitment orders and manage crisis situations.
• Offer face-to-face linkage and ongoing case management services.
• Collaborate with primary care teams to develop care management processes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and community health events.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on behavioral health care and prevention.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to the behavioral health services team.
