Mercy Care Atlanta is seeking a Social Worker (Senior Behavioral Health Specialist) to provide compassionate behavioral health services under the guidance of the Coordinator of Behavioral Health Services. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, develop treatment plans, provide counseling, and offer crisis management within an interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes integrated care, collaboration with primary care teams, education for patients and families, and ongoing case management.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and licensure in LAPC, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• At least five years of experience in mental health/substance abuse recovery services.
• Proficiency in psychosocial assessments and documentation.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal skills in multidisciplinary settings.
• Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial assessments and create treatment plans.
• Provide counseling, therapy, and education to patients.
• Execute involuntary commitment orders and manage crisis situations.
• Offer face-to-face linkage and ongoing case management services.
• Collaborate with primary care teams to develop care management processes.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and community health events.
• Educate patients, families, and staff on behavioral health care and prevention.
• Provide clinical guidance and support to the behavioral health services team.
