Job summary

County of Marin is seeking a Senior Department Analyst in the Health and Human Services Department. The role provides advanced fiscal analysis, oversight, and guidance to support BHRS funding, accounting, and regulatory compliance.

The analyst will supervise accounting staff, manage BHRS revenue streams, and lead complex budget analyses and forecasting. Collaboration with program staff and external agencies is essential for sound fiscal decision-making.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree with a major in business/public administration or related field and three years of professional-level experience.
• Experience in fiscal management, budget development, analysis and forecasting.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Accountants and accounting staff.
• Oversee BHSA, Realignment and BHRS revenue; perform complex budget analysis and forecasting.
• Lead fiscal aspects of BHRS reporting and claiming initiatives (BHOATR).
• Monitor expenditures, identify fiscal trends and issues; propose solutions.
• Support grant budgets, monitoring and fiscal compliance.
• Coordinate fiscal audits; liaise with auditors; implement fiscal processes.
