Job summary

County of Siskiyou seeks an experienced Behavioral Health Services Specialist II to provide paraprofessional and treatment support for behavioral health clients within assigned programs. Qualifications

• Completion of college courses in a behavioral or social science area, including Addiction, Psychology, Sociology, Recreation, Child Care, Social Work, Counseling, and related fields.
• Two years of responsible experience in providing specialized Behavioral Health program service comparable to a Behavioral Health Service Specialist I with Siskiyou County.

Responsibilities

• Meets with individuals, families, and groups to provide case management and support services.
• Provides counseling in clinic and community settings and develops service plans.
• Maintains case records and documents services per state and federal regulations.
• Facilitates access to housing, employment, child care, transportation and essentials.
• Performs crisis interventions in office or hospital as needed.
