Job summary

County of Siskiyou is seeking a Behavioral Health Services Specialist II to provide paraprofessional support and counseling under clinical supervision. The role includes case management, program development, and linkage to housing, employment, and community resources.

The incumbent will work in clinic and community settings, delivering services to individuals, families, and groups with a focus on recovery and prevention.

Qualifications

• College courses in behavioral or social science areas.
• Two years of responsible experience in providing specialized Behavioral Health program services comparable to a Behavioral Health Service Specialist I.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals, families, and groups to provide case management and support services.
• Develop and implement service plans and document progress.
• Assist with housing, employment, child care, transportation, meals and shopping.
• Provide crisis interventions in the office or at the hospital as needed.
• Maintain records of services and coordinate access to community resources.
