Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a Senior Behavior Technician to support ABA treatment for young children with autism. You will train technicians, assist BCBA, and maintain data collection while ensuring patient safety and confidentiality in a clinical outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, implementing teaching strategies, and collaborating with treatment teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field required.
  • RBT certification required.
  • One year of ABA experience with young children with autism.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and role model for new behavior technicians; provide orientation and training.
  • Lead initial and ongoing training of technicians using Behavioral Skills Training.
  • Provide proactive in-the-moment support to manage challenging patient behavior (SafetyCare).
  • Support and optimize teaching strategies with patients.
  • Assist Behavior Analysts with programming/protocols, data sheets, and graphs; prepare agendas.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams and facilitate communication within ABA department.
  • Maintain client confidentiality according to HIPAA laws.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
  • Pursue ongoing training and maintain RBT certification.
  • Fulfill duties of behavior technician when needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Pursuing BCBA credential
Two or more years ABA experience (preferred)

Collaborate with treatment teams and facilitate communication between all job roles within ABA department.7. Maintain client confidentiality according to HIPPA laws.8. Maintain a clean and safe work space.9. Commit to ongoing training and development, such as maintaining RBT certification.10. Share in the responsibility for daily cleaning and maintenance of client workspace and clinic as a whole.11.
