New Horizons Regional Education Center in Newport News, VA, seeks a Behavior Specialist to organize and implement behavioral support programs for students with emotional disabilities or autism. You will work with teachers, parents, and students to provide intervention and data-based plans.
You will participate in IEP meetings, train staff in positive behavior interventions, and monitor student data. A Master’s in Special Education and Virginia licensure are required, along with BCBA coursework
Competenze
- Master's degree in Special Education and VA license.
- BCBA or BACB coursework pursuing BCBA.
- At least 5 years of experience with students needing intensive behavioral supports.
Mansioni
- Organize and implement behavioral support programs for students with emotional disabilities or autism.
- Provide behavioral intervention/management support to teachers, parents, and students.
- Assist in PBIS implementation and data management across classrooms.
- Attend IEP meetings and serve as a designee when needed.
- Monitor behavioral data and report trends to staff and administrators.
