Job summary

Google LLC in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to own supplier quality and reliability for Battery/UPS from NPI through end-of-life. You will drive process design and qualification for manufacturing of Battery/UPS components, partnering with Design and Manufacturing to scale technologies.

The role requires extensive experience in Battery/UPS and DC-DC module manufacturing, PCB assembly, and leadership in quality programs, with ability to influence roadmaps and resolve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in Battery/UPS and DC/DC module manufacturing processes.
• Experience with PCB assembly technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive process design, optimization, and qualification activities of a manufacturing process for a component, part, or product.
• Own the end-to-end supplier quality and reliability for Battery/UPS components, from NPI through end-of-life.
• Partner with Design, Manufacturing, and Commodity teams as the subject matter expert on qualifying and scaling Battery/UPS technologies.
• Influence product roadmaps and architectural decisions by providing data-driven insights on hardware quality, reliability, and performance trade-offs.
• Drive the resolution of critical fleet and factory issues, leading suppliers through RCCA, Failure Analysis, and 8D processes.
• Develop and implement advanced quality plans and process controls (FMEA, DOE, Cpk, etc.) to proactively identify and mitigate risks in the Battery/UPS and PCBA supply chain.
