Job summary

Saft America, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background to shape and validate advanced battery system architectures.

You will lead end-to-end systems engineering activities for product development, aligning electrical design, power electronics, controls and safety functions, and driving prototypes through testing and validation. The role requires a minimum of seven years in complex product development with hands-on design experience,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering or closely related field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in complex product development with hands-on electrical or systems design responsibilities.
• Experience progressing products through development and validation phases is required.
• Experience with energy storage systems is a plus.
• Experience with defense, aerospace or mission-critical systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering for advanced battery system development.
• Define and maintain system requirements, functional architectures and interface specifications.
• Establish technical roadmaps to progress prototypes toward industrialized solutions.
• Coordinate verification, integration and validation activities across hardware, software and control systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering disciplines to ensure system readiness for milestones.
