Job summary

General Motors LLC is seeking a talented engineer to design and productionize battery state estimation for SOC, SOH, and SOP across multiple chemistries.

You will develop robust observers/filters, including Kalman-based approaches, and translate them into production-quality embedded software in C/C++ while meeting safety and cybersecurity standards. Travel up to 10% domestically in a hybrid in-office/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 5+ years in software or automotive engineering.
• Experience delivering embedded software for high voltage battery systems and SOC/SOH/SOP estimation.
• Proficient in C/C++ for embedded systems and Agile/Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and productionize battery state estimation algorithms for SOC, SOH, SOP across multiple chemistries.
• Develop observers and filters including Kalman-based approaches; ensure accuracy across temperature, transients, aging.
• Implement production-quality embedded software in C/C++ meeting GM standards (MISRA compliance).
• Travel up to 10% domestically and collaborate in a hybrid in-office/remote environment.
