General Motors is looking for a battery systems software engineer to design, develop, and productionize state estimation algorithms for SOC, SOH, and SOP across multiple chemistries. You will implement observers and filters in production‑quality embedded software using C/C++ and align with GM safety and cybersecurity standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and about five years’ related experience, plus up to 10% travel. Hybrid work: 3 days in‑office, 2 days remote.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience as Software Engineer, Design Engineer, Automotive Engineer, or related occupation.
• 2 years of experience delivering embedded software for high voltage battery systems and SOC/SOH/SOP estimation.
• Experience with C/C++ for embedded systems development.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum in cross-functional automotive programs.
• Ability to leverage Battery Data to improve battery performance, reliability, and lifecycle.

Mansioni

• Design, develop, and productionize robust battery state estimation algorithms for SOC, SOH, and SOP across chemistries.
• Develop observers and filters (e.g., Kalman filters) and models across chemistries and pack architectures.
• Produce production-quality embedded software in C/C++ meeting GM safety, cybersecurity, and MISRA standards.
• 10% domestic travel required.
