Job summary

Gotion Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Process Quality Engineer (PQE) to own quality for battery pack manufacturing operations. You will drive FPY, yield, and defect reduction while supporting ramp-up and production stability.

The ideal candidate will lead quality issue resolution on the production floor, partner with multiple engineering teams, and ensure continual improvement in manufacturing processes and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on Production Quality or Process Quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience supporting manufacturing operations on the production floor.
• Experience leading manufacturing quality issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting NPI, product launches, pilot builds, or production ramp-up activities.
• Strong understanding of IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 requirements.
• Strong Preference for candidates with hands-on experience in Battery Module and Pack manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze production and quality data, including defect rates and process capability.
• Identify trends and propose preventive measures to reduce risks.
• Organize root cause analysis of quality issues and verify corrective actions.
• Manage the non-conforming product area on the production line and maintain a ledger.
• Oversee rework and repair areas and related ledgers and instructions.
• Confirm the implementation of control plans on the production line.
• Guide and train operators on quality processes and standards.
• Regularly inspect production line processes and identify risks.
• Manage inspectors and conduct hierarchical audits per plans and standards.
• Develop standard inspection guidelines and ensure records of quality activities.
• Track industry best practices and promote factory quality systems.
