Job summary

Canoo is seeking a Sr. Battery Test Engineer to join the Battery Pack Team in the Propulsion group, responsible for electrical and mechanical testing of Battery Cells, Modules, and Pack/ES systems.

You will collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality battery solutions for vehicle production. The role emphasizes test development, data analysis, and in-house tool creation, with responsibility from concept to production integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Software or related field.
• 5 years' experience in a related field.
• Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with ISO26262, functional safety.

Responsibilities

• Test battery cells and modules for Electrical and Mechanical performance.
• Test Battery Pack design and components including DC/DC converters and thermal aspects.
• Perform battery testing: Performance, Reliability, Safety, and Regulatory tests.
• Develop test plans for battery systems based on specs and industry standards.
• Create automated test scripts to validate battery features and functions.
• Record and analyze test data and support root cause analysis.
