Clarios is seeking an experienced Senior Modeling Engineer to lead the development of physics-based, data-driven, and system-level models for automotive energy storage systems. You will create, validate, and apply models for batteries, BMS, charging systems, and vehicle architectures, enabling virtual design validation and accelerated development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Chemical or related engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of modeling and simulation experience.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience with Simscape and state-space modeling.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of physics-based, data-driven and system-level models for energy storage systems.
• Create battery ECMs, reduced-order models, and aging/SOC/SOH/SOP/RUL predictions.
• Build system simulations for 12V/48V architectures and xEV support functions.
• Correlate simulation results with lab and vehicle test data; validate models.
• Develop validation methodologies and best practices across the organization.
