Job summary
Ford is seeking a highly skilled embedded software engineer for the High Voltage Battery Controls team, focusing on Battery Monitoring System (BMS) for Hybrid, Plug-in Hybrid, and BEV vehicles. You will implement and validate vehicle controls software, working across disciplines to ensure robust, efficient designs.
Role requires training, self-motivation, and a strong embedded software background. Expect collaboration across teams, documentation duties, and involvement in tools support and field
Qualifications
- Requires a B.S. in a related engineering field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow development or coursework.
- 5+ years in control system software design or related coursework/experience.
- 5+ years of C and/or C++ development experience.
Responsibilities
- Implement requirements using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and C.
- Validate model-based designs via MIL/SIL desktop simulations.
- Collaborate with teams to derive controls requirements.
- Develop and maintain design documentation.
- Support tools development, compilation setup, static analysis, and SCM.
- Analyze field data to troubleshoot model/C code implementations.
