Jobot in Little Rock, Arkansas is seeking a Senior BAS Project Engineer to design and deliver Building Automation Systems for new construction and retrofit projects. You’ll collaborate with customers, field teams, and vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.

The role is primarily office-based with occasional travel to project sites for coordination, commissioning support, and customer interaction. Strong BAS and HVAC knowledge are essential for project success.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or implementing BAS/DDC systems.
• Strong HVAC knowledge and ability to read drawings.
• Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical/controls plans.
• Familiar with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols.
• Excellent organization and multi-project management.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer BAS/DDC systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
• Develop sequences of operation, control strategies, and system architectures.
• Create control drawings, submittals, installation packages, and as-built docs.
• Generate bills of material and assist with equipment/controls selection.
• Review drawings to ensure proper integration of control systems.
• Provide engineering guidance to project managers, programmers, and field technicians.
• Assist with system startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification.
• Coordinate controls integration with HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Support procurement activities and vendor coordination.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain customer communication.
• Contribute to standards and continuous process improvement.
