Job summary

Kelso Building Services (KBS) – Atlanta, GA is seeking a Senior BAS Technician to service and optimize building automation systems. You will diagnose complex BAS/HVAC issues, perform preventative maintenance, and support upgrades while delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires 3+ years of BAS experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to mentor junior technicians. A clean driving record and certifications are preferred; a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BAS service experience.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience reading control drawings and sequences of operation.
• Experience commissioning and servicing DDC systems.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair BAS control systems and field devices.
• Diagnose HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service agreement inspections.
• Support controller replacements, upgrades, migrations, and system expansions.
• Validate sequences of operation and optimize system performance.
• Assist with commissioning, retro-commissioning, and startup activities.
• Complete point-to-point verification and functional performance testing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and system backups.
