Job summary

Kelso Building Services (KBS), part of Kelso Industries, seeks a Senior BAS Technician in Minneapolis to service and optimize building automation systems across facilities nationwide. You’ll troubleshoot complex BAS/HVAC controls, mentor junior techs, and support remote diagnostics while delivering top-tier customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of BAS experience, strong control knowledge, and hands-on DDC/Niagara proficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of BAS service experience.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience reading control drawings and sequences of operation.
• Experience commissioning and servicing DDC systems.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair BAS control systems and field devices.
• Diagnose HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service agreement inspections.
• Support controller replacements, upgrades, migrations, and system expansions.
• Validate sequences of operation and optimize system performance.
• Assist with commissioning, retro-commissioning, and startup activities.
• Complete point-to-point verification and functional testing.
• Maintain documentation and system backups.
