Job summary

HoffmanBuilding Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems (BAS). You will work with PLCs and SCADA across multiple platforms to optimize performance and energy efficiency.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and IT teams; travel up to 75% to job sites is expected. 1–5 years in building automation or a related field preferred; certifications in major platforms are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC environments and building automation platforms.
• Hands-on SCADA experience across multiple systems.
• Proficiency with SQL for BAS data collection and reporting.
• Familiar with PLC programming software and system integration.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and program BAS across multiple platforms.
• Monitor and optimize building performance via SCADA systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, controllers, and automation software.
