Job summary

HoffmanBuilding Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to install, program, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain BAS. You will work with PLCs from Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other platforms, and with SCADA systems to optimize energy and performance.

Ideal candidates have 1-5 years in building automation, hands-on PLC experience, and proficiency in Python and SQL for data tasks. Travel to sites up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

Experience in building automation and HVAC controls.
Hands-on PLC programming with multiple platforms.
Familiarity with SQL databases for data handling.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and program BAS across platforms.
Work with SCADA to monitor and optimize building performance.
Troubleshoot PLCs, controllers, and software to minimize downtime.
Program and optimize SQL databases for BAS data needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on automation strategies.
Conduct preventive maintenance and document procedures.
Travel up to 75% to job sites as required.
