Job summary

EMCOR Services Automated Controls is seeking a BAS Hardware Engineer to join our automation design team, focusing on control architecture, installation planning, and operation sequences for commercial and industrial projects. You will design building automation systems, produce submittals, and coordinate with programmers and field teams.

The ideal candidate has HVAC experience, low voltage wiring knowledge, and the ability to generate BOMs and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor’s preferred in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• DDC or PLC design experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of low voltage electrical wiring.
• Experience in engineering, design, or installation of HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Attend project turnover meetings with the sales and project team.
• Design building automation systems and create submittals/shop drawings from plans.
• Submit RFIs to address gaps or ambiguities in projects.
• Maintain and update project records and shop drawings.
• Mentor junior engineers as experience grows.
• Write control sequences and coordinate with programmers.
